Nader Adabnejad is a composer, violinist, audio engineer and videographer from Iran. He believes that art is the only way the world might heal itself. One can find peace and unity within oneself through the practice and learning of art, which then extends to the family, the society, and eventually the world. This philosophy underlies all his creative work. As a composer, Nader has worked with ensembles across the world. He has written two works for the Roadrunner Trio (cello, Bb clarinet, and accordion) based in Amsterdam: “Beyond”, premiered at the Uilenburger Synagogue Amsterdam in 2022; and “You and I get it” for them in 2019, based on the poem Manoto Midánim by Sohrab Sepehry. Nader has a fruitful relationship with The Canada-based Vancouver Inter-Cultural Orchestra. Three of his compositions were performed in 2017, 2018 and 2019 by the Orchestra. In 2018 he was commissioned to arrange Henry Cowell’s “Persian set” for the Orchestra; it was performed in Canada and the United States. Active as a performer, Nader works with Sachit Ajmani in the duo OWRSI. Together they develop their practice in free improvisation and electro-acoustic music composition; a central objective is inter- disciplinary collaboration with other artists. Another side to Nader’s expertise is his work in photography, audio, and video production. He works with Right Eye Productions as a sound engineer. Nader also runs Naderad Studio, specialising in mobile and location recording. He works at Conservatorium Maastricht in the Dicop team as sound engineer, videographer, and livestream producer. He has recorded two concerts with the full Conservatorium orchestra at the Theater aan het Vrijthof.
